My tales of glory and woe have come few and far between, but nonetheless they have come. So comes this perhaps final entry in my first years editorial vomit.
I spit it forth with love equaling that of the best wild bests.
By that I mean I haven't really the capacity for anything beyond that which is my nature. But, is the nature of dom not fairly loving indeed? (shouldn't start a sentence with but? fuck-off)
I do have time in these parts to consider all of those things which those caught up in the storm of normalcy could perhaps miss flying past their posterior. It's a beautiful place introspectia. It comes with being withdrawn from that which I knew intimately, yet somehow maintaining the bizarre inclination that oceans fail to sever me from those I care about. Those who have felt far from me, rest assured this distance has done little if it has not brought me closer to you. For even when we shared car seats, cliff faces, dirty floors, and substances, distance was far easier to achieve than when you have occupied my thoughts, and even... dreams. Strange things dreams are. I have had numerous instances where I awoke to dissapointing lack there of some person or others. Strangely, I have also experienced the most horendous nightmares here in Korea. I haven't any real explanation for their source, though Yumi tells me they are common dreams in Asia, that most people have recounted. I have had an encounter with a dark blue haired girl who gives "The Rings" character a sense of humility, scared upon my still dark waking moments to the point of fear of sleep itself. Yet, this is a common dream! Poor souls who share this nightmare. She's yet to visit me again, though I can still point to the exact spot in my room where stared at me in a completely menacing way, with a look lacking any menace. Yes, I just turned arou
Well, more to the day to day, down to earth, hubub of things. I really did enjoy the beautiful dark hair and eyed children whom I have spent my time with here in the land of the morning calm. They have taugth me more than I have taught them perhaps. This is testament to both my learing about life, and myself, as well as the nature of Hagwon education. Both are not exactly what I imagined just a week shy of a year ago. It would be hard to convince me to have a child now I guess. They're creatures better loved, and placed gently back into their parents all-too-busy hands I say.
I can't stop the racing of thoughts about my return to the states to see my beloved old friends and family. I'm almost finished writing the rough draft of my novella now as well. However, friends, please expect nothing above not annoyingly bad from this budding human being, and I mean that with all implied allusions to mediocrity. Love me still nonetheless please, as I love you you all for your blood circulation alone. budumpbump...
Let the Ginko leaves and Cicadas forever fall beneath my feet as they have in this peaceful Korean autumn!
I've certainly been smitten walking on these sheets of vivid yellow, fan-shaped leaves brushing shoulders with Yumi.
Well, enough of my muttering. I'l attach some photos that say more than I can in this post, and a little tour version two which shows how terrible this video director of drunken home capturings must seem to his talented film student girlfriend.
Also, I am currently finding the novel Anna Karenina a long drawn out month of absolutely, tormentingly, involved comfort. ummmmm
Nov. 30th...
I just wanted to add that I saw Jens Lekman in Seoul a couple of nights ago, and it was lovely indeed. Here's a lone picture I stole (credit some guy who was with my friend Jon, from Jon's facebook.)
